Water-based activities

Presentation

Whether in the form of sources, rivers, waterfalls or lakes, water takes a prominent place in the Haut-Doubs landscape. What if it was the opportunity to take a dip, go on a cruise or even try out different water sports?
For a dip, Saint-Point Lake has several beaches at Malbuisson, Les Grangettes, Labergement-Sainte-Marie and Oye-et-Pallet where you can swim and bask in an idyllic mid-mountain setting. The Aqua2Lacs aquatic centre, located on the edge of the third largest natural lake in France, is an idea to keep in mind for swimming in case of bad weather. There are also water sports centres and equipment hire companies in the area offering boats such as canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddles and pedalos if you want to get away from the shore and wish to start an exploration session on your own.

Haut-Doubs is a territory with a unique atmosphere where its lakes, ponds and waterways are perfect places for some quiet fishing moments. Numerous rivers as well as Saint-Point and Remoray Lakes are key fishing spots where you can catch beautiful freshwater fish.

Boat cruises can be a great way to experience a natural site with total peace of mind. Board the Bateaux du Lac Saint-Point and let yourself be guided with the flow to discover the area, its shores and its legends. You can also sail through canyons to the impressive Saut du Doubs, a 30-metre-high (100 feet) waterfall demonstrating all the strength and wildness of the region's landscapes.
